On Thursday, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources released 2,000 Rainbow Trout at Sand Lake in Marshall County as part of the DNR’s Urban Trout Stocking Program.

Community trout stockings are supported through trout fees, which are paid by anglers wishing to fish for or possess trout.
