The Grinnell Fire Department was called out on three separate occasions during the past weekend.
On Friday afternoon, local fire crews responded to a report of a bulldozer being on fire in the area of 97th Avenue East and East 128th Street North.
When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found a bulldozer in a construction area that was fully engulfed in flames.
Local fire crews used foam to extinguish the fire.
The bulldozer was described as a total loss.
Firefighters remained on the scene for an hour-and-45-minutes.
On Saturday afternoon, Grinnell firefighters responded to a grass fire in the area of 462nd Avenue and 50th Street.
Upon arrival, firefighters discovered that the fire had started working its way into a nearby timber area.
Local fire crews worked steadily with flappers, rakes, and water to extinguish the fire.
Firefighters remained on the scene for approximately an hour-and-a-half.
Grinnell firefighters also responded to another grass fire on Sunday afternoon in the vicinity of 20th Street and 455th Avenue.
Local fire crews responded with a single fire engine truck, a rescue unit, two brush trucks, a tanker truck an da single car unit.
No injuries were reported.
Local fire crews remained on the scene for approximately an hour.
