The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship has released its weekly fuel report for the week of April 14-20, 2022.
As of Wednesday, April 20, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $3.86 across Iowa, According to Triple-A. Prices rose 6 cents from last week’s price and were $1.08 higher than one year ago. The national average on Wednesday was $4.11, up 3 cents from last week’s price.
Retail diesel prices in Iowa were up 8 cents this week with a statewide average of $4.80. One year ago, diesel prices averaged $3.02 in Iowa.
Wholesale ethanol held steady and is currently priced at $2.16 a gallon.
