The Iowa Department of Agriculture & Land Stewardship has released its weekly fuel report for the week of April 21-27, 2022.

As of Wednesday, April 27th, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $3.86 across Iowa, according to AAA. Prices were steady from last week’s price & were $1.08 higher than 1 year ago. The national average on Wednesday was $4.13, up 2 cents from last week’s price.

Retail diesel prices in Iowa were up 6 cents this week with a statewide average of $4.86. 1 year ago, diesel prices average $3.01 in Iowa. The current Iowa diesel prices is 23 cents less than the national average of $5.09.

Wholesale ethanol held steady & is currently prices at $2.16 a gallon.
