A Marshalltown man who fled the scene of a serious traffic accident that occurred within the community earlier this week has been arrested by police. 31 year old Jose Eduardo Victor was taken into custody by Marshalltown Police shortly after 3:30pm on Wednesday, according to a department press release.

Victor was driving a Blue 2005 Chrysler 300 that collided with a red 2001 Chevrolet Silverado Truck on Monday morning at the intersection of Main & 5th Streets. Victor has since been charged with eluding, reckless driving, failing to obey a stop sign, failing to yield the right of way, failing to provide proof of insurance, speeding & operating a vehicle without registration. Victor may face additional charges as well, pending final completion of the investigation.

He’s currently being held in the Marshall County Jail.
