A Marshalltown man was sentenced Friday to more than 20 years in federal prison for his role in importing and distributing thousands of kilograms of methamphetamine from Mexico into Iowa.
An investigation by federal agents revealed that 23-year-old Genaro Aguilar Lemus transported kilogram quantities of methamphetamine into Iowa where they would be redistributed and then sold to others.
In May of last year, Lemus pled guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. He was sentenced to 243 months in prison and was ordered to serve five years of supervised release.
