A Marshalltown restaurant has been selected by the Iowa Beef Industry Council as the winner of its “Iowa’s Best Burger Contest” for the year 2022.

The “Flying Elbow” was chosen from a listing of ten different top-notch restaurants throughout the state.

Garrett Goodman serves as the owner and operator of  Iowa’s most famous burger grilling restaurant.

Goodman says he’s been through both the good and bad in recent years while trying to make a successful living in the restaurant business.  Goodman says he’s also looking at possibly expanding the business’ hours of operation in the future as long as things continue to run smoothly.

The “Flying Elbow” is located at 229 North 13th Street near the Iowa Veterans Home in northwest Marshalltown.

Current service options include dine-in, take-out, and no-contact delivery.
