The Marshalltown Public Works Department is advising motorists of some short-term road closures that will be in effect Tuesday afternoon within the immediate Marshalltown downtown business district.

Rod closures will be in place this afternoon on West Main  Street for the one-half block area directly west of 1st Street and on South 1st Street for the one-half block directly south of Main Street.

Motorists are advised to plan accordingly and take alternate routes.
