Dave Thompson, current chair of the Marshall County Board of Supervisors, hopes the unique gift will inspire other individuals to someday come forward with a special gift of their own for the overall betterment of the community.
Nearly four full years have passed since a tornado struck the Marshalltown community. Later this year, county officials are hoping to be able to finally move back into the courthouse and resume normal operations there once again.
Local officials are optimistic the Marshall County Courthouse will be better than ever after the renovation project is complete and the area surrounding the building is enhanced, as well.
