The Jasper County Conservation Board will host an “Older, Wiser, Livelier” seniors program on Wednesday, May 11th at the Jasper County Armory/Annex Building in Newton.
The public is invited to come for 10:00 a.m. coffee and a program given by Rachel Longstreet, an education coordinator with Americorps.
Rachel will discuss the history and practice of composting in North America.
The “OWLS” program is a conservation program that encourages seniors to stay active and learn new things about the natural world.
