Marshalltown Community College has announced the hiring of Carey Phariss as its new head women’s basketball coach, effective May 16th.
Phariss brings more than 17 years of college coaching experience to MCC.
His first college coaching position began at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma where he was an assistant coach from 2005-2011. He then served as an assistant coach at Northwestern Oklahoma State University from 2011-2012 and Seminole State College from 2012-2016.
Phariss earned his first head women’s basketball coaching position in 2016 at Pratt Community College. His most recent position was as an assistant coach at Northern Oklahoma College – Tonkawa in 2017 prior to accepting the job at MCC.
