The Iowa Department of Agriculture and land Stewardship has released its weekly fuel report for the week of May 5 – 11, 2022.
As of Wednesday, May 11th, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $4.12 across Iowa, according to Triple-A.
Prices rose 20 cents from last week’s price and were $1.25 higher than one year ago.
The national average price on Wednesday was $4.40, up 17 cents from last week’s price.
Retail diesel prices in Iowa were up 2 cents this week wit ha statewide average of $5.30.
One year ago, diesel prices averaged $3.04 in Iowa.
The current Iowa diesel price is 25 cents less than the national average of $5.55.
Wholesale ethanol held steady and is currently priced at $2.16 a gallon.
