The Marshalltown Police Department responded to a motor vehicle accident early Monday morning in the 400 block of North 10th Avenue involving an SUV and a motorcycle.

According to a police incident report, the driver of the motorcycle was critically injured in the accident.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing a this time.

The Iowa State Patrol has also been called upon to assist the Marshalltown Police Department with the investigation.

The names of the drivers involved in the accident are not being released at this time pending notification of releatives.
