Law enforcement authorities have released new information regarding a two vehicle personal injury accident that occurred early Monday morning within the city limits or Marshalltown.

At approximately 6:10 a.m., emergency responders were dispatched to an accident involving an SUV and a motorcycle in the 400 block of North 10th Avenue.

Investigators say 25-year-old Wyatt Rodriguez of Marshalltown was driving an SUV that was heading northbound on North 10th Avenue when he turned left in front of an oncoming motorcycle that was operated by 33-year-old Robert Kluck, also of Marshalltown, resulting in a collision.

Kluck was critically injured and was transported from the scene by air ambulance to Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines immediately following the accident.

The accident was investigated by the Marshalltown Police Department and the Iowa State Patrol with additional assistance being provided by the Marshalltown Fire Department, UnityPoint Ambulance, JBS Security, and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.
