The Iowa State Patrol has released the name of a young child who died earlier this week in a driveway accident in southern Marshall County.

The incident happened Tuesday morning at a home located in the 3000 block of Fairman Avenue north of Baxter.

The person who died in the accident has been identified as two-year-old Macie Rosander.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, the girl was riding a tricycle when she was struck by a pickup truck that was backing from a garage.

The state patrol says the driver of the truck looked carefully before backing, but did not see the child.

No charges have been filed in connection with the accident.
