At Monday’s Marshalltown City Council meeting, Police Chief Mike Tupper recognized Police Lieutenant Tricia Thein, who was named as the department’s “Employee of the Year.”

Lt. Thein was presented with a special award by Chief Tupper for her dedicated service at Monday’s meeting.

Chief Tupper also went on to talk about the department’s involvement in “National Police Week,” which was observed the week of May 15-21.

Chief Tupper went on to describe the typical work ethic that’s involved with being a police officer, noting there is nothing else he would rather do than devote his time to serving and protecting citizens of the Marshalltown community.
