The Marshalltown Public Library’s film series for adults is back on Monday, June 27th in the library’s community meeting rooms.

The library’s film license forbids the use of film titles in publicity; therefore, patrons are invited to play the movie guessing game.

The film is a 1972 American Western Film directed by Sydney Pollack and starring Robert Redford as the title character and Will Geer as “Bear Claw” Chris Lapp.  It is based partly on the life of a legendary mountain man, recounted in Raymond Thorp and Robert Bunker’s book Crow Killer: The Saga of Liver-Eating Johnson and Vardis Fisher’s novel Mountain Man.

The event is free and open to anyone 18 and over.
