Today is Primary Election Day as voters will go to the polls to elect candidates from both the Republican and Democratic parties to represent each party ahead of the November General Election.
Locally, the polls will be open today from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Due to redistricting in Iowa, after the 2020 census, precincts and polling places may have changed in certain places. Here is a listing of current voting locations throughout Marshall County:
Residents of Liscomb and Albion will vote at the Liscomb Community Building; those residing in Rhodes and Melbourne will cast their ballots at the Melbourne Recreational Center; citizens of Gilman, Ferguson, and LeGrand will report to the LeGrand Community Building to cast their ballots; those residing in Haverhill and Laurel will vote at the IVCCD Administration Building on the MCC campus in Marshalltown; eligible patrons in St. Anthony and Clemons will cast ballots at the Orphan Grain Train, formerly known as the Clemons School in Clemons; with Marion and Vienna Precincts to vote at the Community Park Building in Green Mountain. In Marshalltown, citizens residing in Precinct 1 will vote at the Marshalltown Public Library; those in Precinct 2 will cast their ballots at the Miller Middle School Gymnasium, while those residing in Precinct 3 will vote at the YMCA/YWCA Childcare Room at 108 Washington Street, with eligible patrons in Precinct 4 to report to Redeemer Lutheran Church at 1600 South Center Street. For residents of State Center, their polling site will be the City Hall building located on east Main Street.
