The Marshalltown School Board received positive news regarding the district’s overall financial standing heading toward the immediate future, at Monday’s meeting. Paulette Newbold, Director of Business Operations, gave an update on a financial audit completed for the district for fiscal year 2021.
At Monday’s meeting, the board approved for the district to engage in a series of new student activities in the foreseeable future.
During the meeting it was noted that a record-breaking 53 graduates from the Marshalltown High School Class of 2022 earned a “Seal of Biliteracy” for the just completed school year.
At Monday’s meeting, the board also approved an increase in meal prices for the 2022-2023 school year. Board members also authorized the purchase of a new web based security camera for security purposes for the district.
A listing of summer improvement projects for the district fore the current year totaling roughly a half-million dollars was also approved by the board, as recommended.
