A battle is under way between Iowa and New York to see who has the “Best Burger” for the year 2022.

This is the second year for the intense competition between the two states.

A year ago, Iowa claimed the outright title, and this year New York is looking to seek revenge.

Consumers currently have the opportunity to cast their vote for either the “Tombstone Smashburger” from the Flying Elbow in Marshalltown or the “Holy Smokers” burger, which can be found at Ale ‘N’ Angus Pub in Syracuse, New York.

The competition for the “Best Burger” officially got under way on June 6th and will continue through June 13th.

Voters can cast their ballots by visiting the Iowa Beef Industry Council’s website at iabeef.org.
