The Beamon Library will be hosting a special butterfly tent installation, produced by Absolute Science, on Wed., June 22nd from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. in the Discovery Garden next to the library.
The event is part of the library’s summer reading program, bur will also be open to the public. The program features tents with live butterflies and butterfly-related activities.
Absolute Science, based in the Quad Cities, debuted programs in the fall of 2016 and has literally taken off like a rocket, performing over 150 shows and workshops within the first year.
Schools, libraries, state and county fairs, private and public events, science fairs and expos, Halloween and other themed shows, birthday parties and other events have benefitted from Absolute Science shows.
Their programs are full of interaction with the audience and their science staff that will motivate their audience to learn more.
