Officials in Marshall County say two teens escaped injury when the car they were in caught fire while traveling on Highway 330 near Melbourne on Thursday evening.

Investigators say the occupants of the car pulled off the road, and then fled the scene before the vehicle became totally engulfed in flames.

Fire departments from Melbourne and Rhodes responded to the scene.

The highway was closed down for a short time while fire crews worked to extinguish the blaze.
