The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship has released its weekly fuel report for the week of June 16 – 22, 2022.
As of Wednesday, June 22, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $4.70 across Iowa, according to Triple-A.
Prices fell 6 cents from last week’s price and were $1.83 higher than one year ago.
The national average on Wednesday was $4.96, down 5 cents from last week’s price.
Retail diesel prices in Iowa were up 11 cents this week with a statewide average of $5.44.
One year ago, diesel prices averaged $3.06 in Iowa.
The current Iowa diesel price is 37 cents less than the national average of $5.81.
Wholesale ethanol held steady and is currently priced at $2.16 a gallon.
