Although gasoline prices in Iowa are still high, they dropped another 12 cents in the past week, according to the Department of Agriculture’s weekly fuel price survey. A gallon of regular unleaded now averages $4.46 a gallon, still $1.48 higher than a year ago. Nationally, a gallon of regular unleaded is $4.63 a gallon, a 15 cent drop from a week ago. Diesel prices in Iowa are still roughly $2 higher than a year ago, but dropped another 9 cents in the past week to $5.27 a gallon.
