Centerville, Iowa native Simon Estes has performed around the world, but later this month, he will give his final performance. The world-renowned opera star will perform in Porgy and Bess July 24th with the Des Moines Metro Opera, a performance already sold out. Estes will continue advising students at Iowa State University and Des Moines Area Community College.  He turns 85 next March.
