Tuesday night we had some local action in sports. The Marshalltown Varsity Boys Golf Team had a Triangular with Fort Dodge and Ames, Marshalltown won that meet, with Ames in 2nd and Fort Dodge in 3rd. The next meet for Boys Golf is Friday, September 16 for the Marshalltown Bobcat Joe Invite at Elmwood Country Club. The Girls Cross Country Team ran Tuesday night at the Tom Karpan Invite in Des Moines. The girls finished in 7th place out of 9 teams, Ankeny Centennial won the meet. The girls will run next Tuesday September 20th at the Newton Invitational at Maytag Park. The Girls Varsity Swim team competed on Tuesday as well, beating Des Moines North 133-42. The girls next meet will be Saturday September 17th for the Bobcat Invite at the Marshalltown High School.
