Marshalltown Community School District has announced a public hearing on October 4th related to an athletic facility enhancement project. Dr. Theron Schutte joined us earlier this week to talk about what that project is. He first mentions the football field.
He goes on to mention the other aspects of the project
With all these upgrades it will also have some cost to it and a large chunk is coming from a federal grant.
Dr. Schutte mentions that other projects have come under budget which can help pay for this, as well as SAVE dollars. SAVE are sales tax dollars from the state that can be used on infrastructure projects.
