The weird weather that we have had at the beginning of winter is not ideal for our County Road crews. Paul Geilenfeldt, Marshall County Engineer, explains why the weather makes things difficult
Paul mentions that one truck doesn’t take too much time, but the county has 14 trucks and switching all of them would take too much time. Paul says he gets asked why they aren’t hauling rock out immediately
The roads are so soft right now, that truck would eat it up. Paul said we are in need of a deep freeze to help the ground deeper harden up.
