It’s beginning to grow, E-Sports are becoming so mainstream that high schoolers are now being recruited for it.  Ethan McGerr, senior at Marshalltown High School, signed his letter of intent to join the Marshalltown Community College Esports Team on Tuesday afternoon.  Ethan made history, as he was the first MHS athlete to ever receive and E-sports scholarship.  Ethan has some big shoes to fill as recent MHS graduate Amber Lawthers won the National Championship in Mario Kart this fall.  Ethan will play Overwatch, so different game, but wants to continue a line of successful E-Sports players from Marshalltown High School.
