At the Marshalltown School Board meeting last night the plans, specs, and cost for the athletic project was approved. Along with the new additional cost with the video scoreboard, the plan to upgrade the football stadium, field, and track will cost the school roughly $6.2 Million. The board voted unanimously to approve the project. Bidders should be able to see the documents to put together bids by Feb. 23. A pre-bid meeting will be held on March 2nd, which is open to all bidders. The due date for bids is March 22 with the goal to get the stadium finished before football season this fall. Kim Bellmann, an architect from FEH Design, was at the school board meeting answering any questions and presenting the final designs.
