Heading West out of Marshalltown on Lincoln Way may take you a bit longer as the City is discussing a speed change.  The first issue is the curve by Brentwood Drive.

That is Public Works Director Heather Thomas.  She explains the proposed drop in speed limit on that stretch of road

Heather also mentions that this area is one spot the city is looking to add an Automated Traffic Camera for speed.  It would mean that drivers would need to adjust to the new speed quickly or be ticketed.

That was Police Chief Mike Tupper, he also mentions that when he was applying for the Chief job 12 years ago, this stretch of road was discussed.
