An Action Plan to Improve Culture and Climate at Miller Middle School was discussed last night at the School Board Meeting. Dr. Theron Schutte, Superintendent of Schools, he first mentions the concern about use of funds
One of the most powerful things was subtle, Dr. Schutte sat at the table with Co Principals Dave Glenn and Kristyn Kell. It shows he was with them when presenting the new action plan. Principal Kell lets us know about 1 new idea they are looking to implement called smart pass. This allows teachers to track why students are leaving class, and for how long.
This allow teachers to work together, and see when students are trying to take advantage of leaving the classroom. Teachers can also share this data with parents during conferences. After the action plan was shared every board member asked questions on ways they can offer support.
