The power of Social Media was on display this week as many were watching the Facebook page, Maggie’s Play-Doh Drive.  Maggie, who is an 8 year old from Ames, set a goal to raise 10,000 cans of Play-Doh to donate to Blank Children’s Hospital.  According to that page, Maggie and her team delivered 10,189 cans of Play-Doh to Blank Children’s Hospital yesterday.  Maggie thought of this idea after spending time in the hospital playing with Play-Doh with her sister who was going through cancer treatments.  She initially donated a couple thousand cans of Play-Doh back in 2020 and when Blank reached out to thank the family again and let them know all that Play-Doh was used up.  Maggie decided it was time for round 2, and time to go bigger.  10,000 cans was the goal, and with a little help from Midwest Foundation Repair, all 10,000 cans made it to the Hospital yesterday.
