According to their Facebook page, the Marshalltown Police Department received a large donation from the Lions Club, but the generosity didn’t stop there.  Hy Vee came in and matched the donation, doubling the money!  In total, the Lions Club and Hy Vee gave $2,222 to the Marshalltown Police Department for the K-9 Fundraiser.  The Marshalltown Police Department had 2 K-9’s for many years, but when both retired 5 years ago, they have only since replaced one of the K-9s.  The Lions Club had partnered with the Police Department while selling popcorn on a recent Saturday morning at Hy Vee.
