Thompson True Value held an event with KIX 101.1 on Saturday promoting their Milk-Bone sale and the fundraising effort for the Marshalltown Police Departments K9 Unit.  Dave Thompson, owner of Thompson True Value, told me that they were able to raise $2000 for the MPD.  I was able to talk with Chief Tupper about where they are at in their fundraising effort

AJ Accola talks about how Coffee with a Cop allows officers to interact with the public in a non-stressful situation.  The K9 Unit can work similarly as well

$30,000 is the goal to get K9 Atlas a new friend with the Marshalltown Police Department. The Chief says anyone can stop by the Police Station to drop off a donation.
