The Marshalltown YMCA-YWCA partnered with US Cellular in January to bring wireless internet to help students with their school.  I spoke with Andrew Potter as the hot spots recently came in.

Andrew tells me it is part of the after school access project.  Andrew tells me that the YMCA is not keeping all 600 hot spots, they want to get them out into the community

The YMCA still has about 100 hot spots available for use.  When US Cellular reached out to the YMCA, they jumped on the opportunity to give our community more internet access.
