Friday night at the Student Activity Center on the MCC Campus was the 95th annual commencement ceremony. This spring ceremony had graduates from the fall of 2022, spring of 2023, and summer of 2023 from the MCC or satellite Iowa Valley Grinnell campus. Beyond your typical community college graduates, there were also 55 high school seniors that are on track to receive a college degree before their high school diploma. The student activity center was at capacity on Friday night while the ceremony took place. The commencement address was given by Kaci Krier, a 2023 graduate with an Associates of Arts originally from Green Mountain.
