There was a drowning at Rock Creek State Park last weekend, then across Iowa there were 3 drownings over Memorial Day weekend.  Joel Phillips, Sheriff of Marshall County, joined the KFJB line for Ask the Newsmakers, to give some safety swimming tips

The Sheriff talks about not being distracted while watching your kids or one another.  People can easily get wrapped up in their cell phones, and a swimming emergency only takes seconds to happen

Cooling down in the water feels great on a hot summer day, the Marshalltown Aquatic Center is open daily at 1pm.
