As summer is in full swing and students are out of school, there is an uptick on youth out on their bicycles.  The 2 most common categories of accidents for bicycles are falls and vehicular accidents

That is Marshalltown Fire Chief, Dave Rierson, he says the failure to yield is both for the vehicle and bicycle.  As drivers we have to learn to share the road with bicyclist

Chief Rierson stresses what you are wearing when out for a bike ride.  Wear reflective clothing and wear a helmet, both can save your life while out riding a bicycle.
