The City Council meeting last night got heated during a few different topics, one of which was reappointing two board members, Jim Lowrance and Ashtyn Beek, to the Marshalltown Public Library Board.  This item was pulled from the consent agenda to be discussed.

That is City Councilor Mike Ladehoff.  The two publications being discussed have been the American Rifleman Magazine and Epoch Times.

While a few people in the public continue to speak at the library board meetings about these two publications, the library board has not spoken about them since they voted to not carry those publications.
