Friday, Rocky Dean Trujillo, age 23, was sentenced for the murder of Michael West.  This stems from a robbery gone wrong at Casey’s General Store on N 3^rd Ave. back in February 2021.  Trujillo was sentenced to life in prison without parole.  Chief Tupper says in a Facebook post on the Police Departments page, “We still grieve with the West family and everyone impacted by this tragedy. Michael West is gone forever. He was trying to earn an honest living when his life was stolen from him. We will continue to stand with Mr. West’s family and friends. He will not be forgotten.”
