Now that the legal firework window has finished up in Iowa, it is always good to go back an reflect. It is legal to sell fireworks within City Limits of Marshalltown but it is illegal to set them off. From July 3rd to July 6th the Marshalltown Police Department received 101 complaints about firework usage, 64 came on the 4th of July. From July 3 – July 6 the Marshalltown Police Department issued 30 citations for firework usage. Fireworks become legal again statewide, but not within Marshalltown City limits, again in December for the New Years holiday. Iowa law says fireworks will be allowed again December 10th through January 3rd.
