The Marshall County Historical Society is working to get the Mowry Irvine Mansion in Marshalltown, part of the National Historical Register. Mike Donahey, with the Historical Society, lets us know what steps they’ve taken.
Getting this status will allow the historical society to apply for grants and other support mechanisms granted for things part of the National Historical Register. Mike gives listeners a bit of history on the Mowry Irvine Mansion.
The Mansion can be used for meetings, receptions, or even just an afternoon if you want to walk through it. To see inside you will need to get a hold of someone with the Marshall County Historical Society.
