Some people have wondered why the State Street construction started with 2 total blocks from 3rd Ave. to 1st Ave. Than they only did the intersections at 3rd and 2nd St.
That is Heather Thomas the Public Works Director giving an update on the construction. Thomas mentions her team is prioritizing some areas as they are used more often.
Thomas says they are about 3 weeks away from paving the 3rd street intersection. We should see pavement beginning to go down on Phase 1, 3rd Ave to 1st Ave, sometime next week.
