The City of Marshalltown is searching for a new City Administrator and that process has begun with over 12 candidates applying for the job. The City Council took time to review those candidates and have whittled that down to just a handful.
That is City Councilor Jeff Schneider. A few weeks ago, city councilor Barry Kell, suggested to not use a recruiting firm and handle the hiring process in-house.
While Jeff doesn’t give a specific timeline of when a city administrator will be chosen. The recruiting firm would have taken over 13 weeks to go through their process.
