This weekend kicked off one of the largest events in Iowa each year, RAGBRAI.  Dana Bresler is a local bike rider and part of the Iowa Valley Bicycle Club.  Bresler has been the RAGBRAI coordinator for many years.

Bresler tells listeners that there is a group of about 100 people took off Saturday morning for RAGBRAI.  He says they help riders find places to stay, give them transportation, and other commodities along the route.

RAGBRAI riders will be in central Iowa starting Tuesday when they stay overnight in Ames.  The Wednesday route from Ames to Des Moines could set a record for number of riders in a day.
