The special election for the city of Marshalltown is coming up on September 12th. Citizens will have 3 things to vote on and they will all be franchise fees, or an additional percentage added to your electric and gas bill.
That is Nan Benson, Marshall County Auditor/Recorder. Her office will oversee the special election on September 12th. Benson mentions that her office can print ballots if needed in a time crunch. Remember, the election office can mail out absentee ballots
August 23rd is the first key date for the Special Election on September 12th. 3rd Ward individuals, you will also vote for a new City Councilor as Dex Walker stepped down from that position, July 3rd.
