Thursday was the Golf Opener for the Marshalltown Bobcats; they faced off against Ottumwa and Mason City down at the Ottumwa Country Club.  Ryan Schmit scored a 73, or 1 over par lead the way for all golfers.  The Bobcats had 5 of the best 6 golfers and scored 319 as a team to win by 35 strokes.  Ottumwa shot 354 and Mason City finished with 360 strokes.  A great way to start the season for the Bobcats.
