The 3rd Ward vacancy was another topic on the Marshalltown City Council agenda many were curious about. All 3 candidates that submitted letters of interest were at the meeting last night. It was Councilor Mike Ladehoff that broke the silence when discussing this item
After those comments by Councilor Ladehoff, Mayor Joel Greer asked if anyone would like to make a motion to begin the interview process. No one spoke up at that time.
That was Mayor Greer addressing the candidates after no one motioned to appoint anyone last night. The 3rd Ward seat will now move to a vote September 12th with the Franchise Fee special election.
