Last nights City Council Meeting in Marshalltown had a lot of people on the edge of their seat with some personnel changes that could be announced.  The last item on the agenda was to head to a closed session to decide who the next City Administrator will be.  After careful consideration the city plans to hire Joseph Gaa as the next City Administrator.  Gaa is currently the City Administrator for Aberdeen, SD which is a city with a population of around 28,000.  He has also held similar roles in ND and in Chariton and Woodbine, IA.  Gaa is expected to start in the role next month, and while details of his contract were not made readily available last night, they will be shared in the future.
